Once you've decided that the wooden look is right for your home, and that buying wood laminate flooring is the best option for you, you're probably thinking that you're done with the hardest part. Think again. The most difficult part in choosing laminate floors will probably be deciding on a brand. This determines the difficulty of install, the price, the durability, and, of course, the look. If you've elected not to buy from the limited selection of the hardware store, where all of the laminate floor options will fit on one wall, you'll definitely need help deciding which brand to look at first. With that in mind, let's take a look at Swiftlock Laminate Flooring.

Options

Odds are that, at this point, you have an image in your head of what the laminate wood floors in your home should look like when finished, so the obvious first step will be to find a brand that makes it. Swiftlock Laminate Flooring probably makes something similar to what you're seeing in your head. At this particular moment, they have over 160 laminated flooring flavors available. However, they're not split up in to collections as Quick Step Laminate Flooring's website is, but the listing thickness right up front by each selection might actually be more useful. It's recommended that you check out the websites of at least a few laminate floor brands so that you know what features are considered good since manufacturers like to leave off specifications that they do not excel in.

Cost

When shopping for Swiftlock Laminate Flooring, you'll notice that the words affordable and durable pop up quite often. I was surprised to find that Amazon apparently does not sell Swiftlock, so I had to go elsewhere for my price comparing. Armstrong makes Swiftlock Laminate Flooring, and has positioned it to be their cheap laminate flooring. In fact, with most laminated floors resellers, Swiftlock is their cheapest offering.

Installation

If you need to do some flooring, laminate is definitely an easy place to begin. It's generally as durable, and much lighter than either solid or engineered. Although it will be time consuming, installing laminate flooring will probably be one of the easiest projects you take on while owning your home. There's even detailed laminate flooring installation directions right on Swiftlock's website. If any answers are not there, you can probably find it elsewhere on the web since the brand is hugely popular.

Durability

After your wood laminate floor has been installed, the time comes to worry about durability. When subjected to average amounts of foot traffic, Swiftlock Laminate Flooring does a pretty good job. Be aware though of the many reports of warping without significant amounts of water, as well as dents and chips from things being dropped. As opposed to engineered and solid, a laminated floor cannot be buffed, so, while it is made to be damage resistant, any damage that it does sustain will require replacement of boards. Swiftlock Laminate Flooring seems to have a lot of complaints aimed toward it, but it may be proportionate to the product's popularity. The more people buy something, the more problems there will be, and Swiftlock Laminate Flooring is a very good seller.
